Free Adult Education Registration Coming to SSC | TABE Test
SOUTH HOLLAND, IL–South Suburban College’s Adult Education Department is offering a wide range of opportunities for adults to build the basic skills required for success.
Pasco-Hernando State College – Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE)
Students who are enrolled in a postsecondary program offered for career education credit of 450 hours or more (Applied Welding Technologies, Dental Assisting, Health Unit Coordinator, Medical Coder/Biller, Medical Administrative Specialist, Medical Record Transcribing, Network Support Technician, Practical Nursing and Web Development Specialist) shall complete an entry-level basic skills examination within the first six weeks after admission into the program.

TESTS OF ADULT BASIC EDUCATION | TABE
There is no study guide for the TABE test but students are encouraged to use the SPCC College Placement Test study guide and listed resources or seek out tutoring in the Academic Support Center prior to any testing.

South Dade Educational Center Using Adult Basic Education (TABE)
Students entering the ESOL program are required to take the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems (CASAS) language placement test. Students entering the ABE or GED programs are required to take the Test for Adult Basic Education (TABE) for placement. Similarly, students entering career and technical programs consisting of 450 clock hours or more in length are also required to take the TABE upon entry into their program of study. The purpose of testing is to verify grade levels for individualized instruction and program completion.
