TABE Testing Updates and Review

This session will review best practices for remote proctoring, demonstrate the new TABE Writing test and discuss the use of TABE for Ability to Benefit qualification. Additionally, we will review the concordance study of TABE 11&12 to available High School Equivalency tests. Finally, attendees will be able to ask questions and share best practices with TABE experts from DRC as well as fellow attendees.

Improving Testing and NRS Gains of ESL Students with TABE CLAS-E Online

Session 7, Tuesday, 3/23/2021, 2:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.

After completing an 8-month pilot of the new TABE CLAS-E Online system, this session will explore the successes and best practices with practitioners from ESL programs in Texas and Arizona. During the session attendees will have a chance to review the CLAS-E Online testing system and ask the participating sites questions related to their experiences testing ESL students online.

Offline TABE Testing within Correctional Programs

TABE Offline Digital Testing (ODT) is a new option to allow Correctional Education to utilize computer-based tests when an internet connection is not possible within secure facilities. The session will cover technical requirements and a demonstration of TABE Offline.
